Myrrhism Message Three F.O.C.U.S.

know God insight Philippians 1 and 9Key Scripture to embrace:

Philippians 3:15-21 MSG

15 So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision – you’ll see it yet!
16 Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.
17 Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal.
18There are many out there taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them. I’ve warned you of them many times; sadly, I’m having to do it again. All they want is easy street. They hate Christ’s Cross.
19 But easy street is a dead-end street. Those who live there make their bellies their gods; belches are their praise; all they can think of is their appetites.
20 But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ,
21 who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.

Today, I am struck with the word F.O.C.U.S.  One definition I offer for FOCUS is as follows:

Let’s break down each of these above components to establish a F.O.C.U.S. in our life today.

Fiercely endeavor everything.  Why Fierce?  When we are passionate about something, it drives us to be relentless in our pursuit.  This intensity will keep us progressing in a pace that discounts distractions, naysayers, and doubt.  Some key scriptures on seeking God that resonate with this part of our F.O.C.U.S. is as follows:

1 Chronicles 28:9

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually.

Proverbs 8:17

“I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.

Jeremiah 29:13

‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Isaiah 26:9

At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Amos 5:4

For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel, “Seek Me that you may live.

Galatians 2:16-17

nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified. “But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? May it never be!

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

We often gravitate to individuals who exude power, passion, and purpose.  It is in our human nature to desire this type of strength.  Successful individuals, are often characterized by having this type of underlying personality:  Goal-driven ferocity not buckling under pressure when obstacles attempt to derail the vision. Fierce individuals are truly destroyers of common and average.  They are human beings that seek after accomplishing their vision without apology and fervently. Therefore, great leaders possess an intense resolve to continue even amid the face of extreme challenges, with their pre-planned goals which embrace their vision that is set before them and that guides their every decision, action, and step.

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

I am reminded of great leaders who are also forerunners in our faith: Abraham, Noah, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Esther, Apostle Paul, John the Revelator, and ultimately Jesus. They all possess an unrelenting determination to pursue God’s command (His word and His vision) with fiercely intense tenacity of purpose. Regardless, of the naysayers who attempted to thwart the promise vision that God placed in these great leader’s heart, they continued to press to accomplish their divine destiny. I submit, the first level of our F.O.C.U.S. life is to be a person with an internal fortitude to pursue God’s individualized promised vision for our unique purpose – fiercely.

In conjunction to exemplifying the internal drive that is fierce, one must also actively OMIT anything in our mind, heart, environment, and action that is contrary to positive, productive, progress that will accomplish the attainment of our unique life’s purpose.

dont copy custom of this world be be transformed by God

OMIT:  In this age of Internet technology, the DELETE key is one that can easily be used to remove controversial Facebook posts, inappropriate Twitter tyraids, or risque Instagram pictures. Although, the ability to remove these types of online communications, sometimes does not erase that it was placed on the worldwide web for all mankind to see.  As a person of faith, we must be more vigilant, frugal, and judicious with our human interactions.  The practice to not even give way to any indiscretion that must be deleted should be our first directive.  We should be a person who self-edits first before permanently committing to an action that could be detrimental to our positive pursuit of purpose.  Let us be people who are truly led by God’s word, Jesus example, and our internal Holy Spirit conscious.  We need to be transparent, truthful, and tenacious with our obedient walk of faith to be pure representatives of God.  Now, yes, all have sin and come short of the glory of God is a reality while we are in this frail human body.  Yet, let this not give us license to be reckless with our words, actions, thoughts, deeds, and lifestyle.

Remove the poison, dross, and putrid out of your life.  It is time to be a victor not a villain or victim.  We should be the light in the midst of darkness and bring the hope that a relationship in Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, in obedience to faithful service to God our Father is the only F.O.C.U.S. in our journey.

Therefore, the option to OMIT is available and warranted for us to not derail our plans.  Why self-sabotage?  Why be toxic, negative, poisonous, and a troll? This is the very opposite of how God commands our life to exist.  We are blessed when we walk and usher in peace.  We are blessed when we love one another as we love ourselves and better yet love like God does – AGAPE.  God’s people are blessed.  Worldly people are cursed and do not be deceived they will not enter into a lifelong, blissful abode as Heavenly citizens.

Take an introspective view into your habits, actions, words, and deeds to identify why you have not progressed to the level you desire.  Is it because of a toxic, vile, putrid and unforgiving vice that you hold onto in your heart and that dictates your movements in this journey called life?  If you uncover such in your heart, then ask for forgiveness AND forgive those who you feel have betrayed you.  Yes, in this life we will have disappointments and even hardships that occur because of someone else’s actions against us.  That is life!  Let it go!  Get over it! AND be FREE!  It is time for you to truly live and have the liberty to enjoy.  Start cultivating positive endeavors and habits that will aid in your growth as a person.

Today, let us omit habits from our life that hinder progress.  A November 2017 Entrepreneur  online article provides  insight on which habits some  leaders omit that helped them ascend to the pinnacle of greatness in their chosen field.  As Christian thought leaders, presenting God’s word as our guide for active life endeavors is key.  Therefore, concentrate on what God shares should be our way of thinking, living, and acting:

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Romans 6:1-23

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. …

Colossians 3:5-17

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices …

Romans 12:1-2

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

CHAOS grooms confusion that breeds defeat.  Just say no to the temptation to dwell upon an environment of “bad, distress, and upheaval.”  That type of concentration only leads to depression and all too often death.  Dreams are killed in the mind of one who nurtures indecision.  Vision is blurred when concise roadmaps are not followed.  Destiny is denied when doubt’s door is allowed to be open and then walked into.  Untimely, demise occurs to that person who heeds the loop of “you are not good enough, why are you doing that, this is not the way you should go, and no one else does it that way.”  God is not the author of confusion, so why would you accept that type of mannerism as your mantra?

chaos order crossroad imageWe have a choice to choose how we will operate as a human being.  Do we want to live on purpose and with order versus do we want to journey haphazardly in a chaotic frenzy?

Disorder causes miscarriages and leads to death.  When something is not operating as it was created, then it will break down to the point of irrevocable damage.  Let us therefore, concentrate on God’s truth, that being He is clear, precise, orderly, just, and dynamic with His doings.  Regardless, of the status quo, God illuminates light in the midst of a dark ill advised pretentiousness and misdirection. Trust God, that means you must deafen your ears, dim your eyes, and deny your mindset’s negative concentrations on anything that shackle’s your press towards His preplanned unique and personalized vision called:  YOUR LIFE.

1 Corinthians 14:33 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

33 God is not a God of disorder but a God of peace.

As in all the churches of God’s holy people…

“Unleash the beast” is a popular quote to motivate one to achieve a successful and dominant victory in a competitive arena. Thus, we have to grapple with the fact that in this world we are commanded to fervently incite change to accept God’s way, will, and word in the world’s arena of complacency, conformity, and legalities. We need to unleash the message of God’s love, as well as, His just promise for how to attain eternal life.  There is a powerful struggle to hold firm to scriptural relevance in today’s society of yield.  However, if we don’t uphold the word as a banner and beacon to follow, then who will?  It is time that God’s faithful, UNLEASH.

Unleash what then?

First, we must unleash the word of God to be the prevailing thought, action, drive, and moral compass in all that we do.  We have to fight against the tide of nonchalant, casual acceptance of  wordly hype and center our life’s commitments to be faithfully obedience to God’s truth on the matter of things.  If in doubt of what God would do then we must prayerfully seek Him to reveal.  God’s desire is for us to abound above the mediocracy and debauchery that this world offers.  He offers eternal peace, love, and life beyond the confines of our earthy brief’s existence.  He is supreme, divine, and supernatural.  Therefore, let us not be deceived by the trappings of this life and conform to the pressure that leads to eternal death.

Ephesians 3:20 – 21 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—

21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

Second, we need to unleash faith. There is nothing that pleases God more than His people faithfully obeying His word for their life. Doubt is an adversary and the snare to achievement of God’s plans for our life. Why look back on our life with regret? This type of wasteful meditation creates restlessness and hopelessness. So, just do the opposite. Start, endure, and end in faith. That theme is healthy, fulfilling, and productive. Walk in faith by unleashing God’s word in your life.  Let His anointing propel you in your walk of power, wisdom, faith, love, and understanding.  God moves us into His purposes and aligns our heart’s desires with His heart when we yield to the Spirit and His word. Let’s become fully equipped to master life’s journey and take on every armour of truth we need to walk in freedom and victory.

Finally, when we choose to unleash – let go and let God- a paradigm shift occurs.  Our eyes are open, ears no longer muted, and mind is awaken to the realm and reign of heavenly citizenship.  How appropo that contentious banter and current governmental stalemates surround country citizenship.  This truly is indicative of the fight that currently face people of faith  – where is our allegiance?  Do we subscribe to Heavenly Citizenship or worldly residency?  We have the power to choose this day whom we will serve.  So, what say ye on this matter?  Unleash the power of choice to be God’s people.  The concept to unleash envelopes why we are called to be followers of God through faith.  Taking a risk is uncomfortable, unnerving, and unthinkable to the average and normal.  Launching out to walk on water identifies the unique and phenomenal.

Therefore, the call to action to, “Let Go and let God” is essential for a person who chooses to be identified as inheritors God’s Heavenly citizenship.   Often in the crossroad of life’s choice we have to be determined to just trust God.  Peace comes after the decision to rely 100% that God is our author and finisher for our life.  Be encouraged and be steadied by that Biblical facts – not an alternative fact/untruth – that would lull us into a hypnotic stagnation inevitable to always remain unfulfilled illegal aliens eternally dying from the world’s concept of “the good life.”

The victory in F.O.C.U.S. becomes our personal realization for a stable, successful, thriving, and abundant life here on earth as it is in heaven.

Stability only happens through a firm foundation.  So, what constitutes stability in God?

Do not let the small beginnings of your life misconstrue your ability to sift through the challenges to ultimately achieve the prize. You will ascend to the next level where personal growth to gain happens. Once you get to that posture in life, a peace that surpasses even our own understanding of a matter allows you to face any situation confidently without wavering, falling, or unease.

Yes, is not it time for the root of stability to take hold of where your life is planted?

How often is life compared to building a house?

The architect constructs blueprints that are based on a sure and stable foundation. We know that our God is the Senior Master Builder who developed stable plans for what we call – Our life’s journey. Therefore, now is the time to trust God’s plans. In order to derive your strength to endure, purpose to pursue, and posture of peace; you must study God’s word, commit God’s word into your heart, meditate on God’s word constantly, and just live God’s word without reproach.  Let us be guided from God’s word by allowing His Holy Spirit to open up our eyes of understanding as we prayerfully approach Him for getting wisdom.  There is a way that the world purports to be right way to live but the end result is a disillusioned death.  So, just daily ingest wisdom through reading, studying, and meditating on God (what He says about life).  WORD!

2 Peter 1:12

Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.

Colossians 2:5-7

For even though I am absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good discipline and the stability of your faith in Christ. Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

Isaiah 26:4

“Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.

Matthew 7:24-27

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. “Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. read more.

The bottom line is T.R.U.S.T. God regardless. Yes, all manner of issues creep up or sometimes just slams us in the face to get us sidetracked or stopped in our tracks, BUT TRUST IN GOD! Hold fast to His word and promise that He intimately conveys to you. God loves us and only wants this love to be our guiding force as we live.  Know this that we only have a limited vantage point for the vast array of God’s splendor, so we must re-FOCUS our mindseye to the higher level vision.  Exalt the Lord for He is worthy!  His kingdom reigns forevermore!  Let’s rejoice in this that He is Supreme and when we pierce into that realm then our faith truly will become steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding into the greater way of life – that life more abundant.
