Thanking you in advance for your continued support.

Let us talk briefly about P.R.E.S.S. I offer the definition as the following:

Persistent
Renewing
Embracing
Scriptural Surety
Selah & Shalom

press phil 3 v 14We are encouraged to continuously persist in absorbing God’s word through constant and consistent reading, studying, renewing our mind (spirit, will, environment) with God’s Biblical scriptures. His word will never pass away. His word is the ultimate truth. His word is not false and that which is promised is guaranteed. We must think on these things (things above not on this earth or worries of this world) and then we can be made whole. Have the fulfillment of all that God’s word assures us that He has provided for His inheritors (Those who faithfully and Obediently accept God’s total truth and His way for Eternal life).

Scriptural Relevance to Renew and Embrace as the truth that God guarantees to His that believe on His word:
Philippians 3:14 King James Version (KJV)
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Romans 12 King James Version (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Matthew 24:35 King James Version (KJV)
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
John 17:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Colossians 3:2 King James Version (KJV)
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

As we P.R.E.S.S. let us keep moving forward regardless of the challenges faced that attempt to stop us and/or slow us down. Yes, there are moments in our lives that throw us for a loop and cause us pain, anguish, confusion, sadness, anger, and pause. Okay, take your moment to get your emotions out and under control. Don’t dwell too long in that state of upheaval or you will never dig yourself out of that gloomy hole of bewilderment and despair. Take a quick pause for your cause to shake it off and then get back up again! Dust yourself off and keep it moving forward. You are not alone and God never forsakes you so be mindful that He directs your path…take the time to ask. Be encouraged my friends and keep steadily actively pursuing your passions, purpose, and destiny that God spoke to you because His word on the matter never alters. Just keep on in your P.R.E.S.S.!

As we continue in our forward progress let us study God’s word and seek wise counsel and receive other believer’s overcoming testimony such as the following:

Pressing On When Faced With the Impossible By Shannon Perry

Keep Pressing On from The Bethel Family Church

Not only do we continue to delve into the scriptures we must consistently communicate through prayer with God. Talk to Him and don’t stop even if you feel like you are banging your head against a brick wall. Keep on the path towards constant communion and P.U.S.H. through it, for your mountains do move and walls do come down.

press in olympic gamesCurrently, the world is witnessing the Winter Olympics.  Do you think those who are participants made it on the Olympic teams to represent their countries without excruciating effort? They worked through pain, sickness, cold, heat, and multitude of challenges to get to the place where they are qualified to represent their particular (county a.k.a. “Kingdom”).  Likewise, we must be diligent to do the same and not slack when it comes developing our relationship with God through our faith in Jesus Christ as our savior and non-compromising adherence to His precepts through our guide The Holy Spirit.  Fight the good fight and endure to the end so that you can be counted as blessed, favored, and win your Gold prize.  That is what each Olympic participant is doing, they are fighting to win that gold medal accolade.

I am reminded by a good standard hymn that reminds us that we are in warfare as believers. Christ has gone before us though and He has already fought the battles. So, let us keep F.O.C.U.S. as we go forward Christian Soldiers!

Therefore, my fellow companions as we do not remain stagnant in our journey but we actively continue regardless of the challenges; we will grow, prosper, and overcome all things!  Amen Indeed.
