I was doing the remote control TV Shuffle and my ears were piqued when I heard him speaking of how we are Salt and then referenced that we should be likened to a boulder thrown into a pond versus a grain of sand. Now, the difference between throwing a grain of sand would not be prominent when thrown into a pond. I would surmise that it would not even be noticeable. That sand would just blend in and dissolve without the slightest water vibration. However, I know if a rock or even a big boulder was tossed out into a pond’s water there would be a tremendous impact. The water would be displaced visibly you would see the ripples of waves that impact makes.

So, I have been doing my own introspection. I often tell others that I am a hermit. I truly am a homebody, but I realize that living a secluded life may not always be the best for me. I know soon I will be transitioning into a new lifestyle where I will no longer have a roommate. This may prove to be difficult for me as I have been mainly isolated since my October 24, 2008 incident. Prior to the pandemic, I mainly stayed to myself and lived a remote life. My life truly took a turn on that date in October 2008 and I was never the same afterward. Even though I have gone through therapy and time has transpired; the impact that person’s assault made in my life was significant.
I can imagine others have had life-altering situations that have changed the trajectory of their life. I say this to say, every day I rely on God to help me breathe, move, and live. I do know it is important to embrace that what I do, say, think, and act upon does matter. I have come to realize my life does matter!
How else would The Thankful Revolution come into existence unless I answered the call to write and express; even when it hurts.
To share even when being vulnerable exposes all the flaws and nakedness and mess that I have and operate by. To be and exist even with insecurities and sometimes when fear happens to try to steer me differently. I fight daily to remain courageous. I work on thinking about good things and not focusing on all of the negative news that continuously bombards through television, radio, newspaper, and especially the Internet. So, to continue and progress forward is the only option I choose. I must continue when sad or happy or wondering or oblivious. I still must strive to keep moving forward. And so, I also encourage each of you to do the same.
You will always read from the pages of this site that your life matters – AND IT DOES!
I need you and I pray what I do is helpful to you as well. So, when the destroyer of lives, destinies, and purpose comes knocking at your door and tries to persuade your mind to think that you are not important or for you not to make a purposeful impact in your life – you will possess the strength and spirit to SAY NO you will not kill, steal or destroy me! I choose life and that life more abundantly.
I was also viewing a YouTube message of this young man sharing how we are to maneuver through 2021 and beyond. He eloquently and deliberately shared poignant teaching that if listened to and then applied will change our outlook. Please take the time to view/listen to this young man’s message.

Well, now we are approaching 2023 and I am choosing to be set free and live more freely in 2023. That means doing things differently than what I have been doing. Change is a choice and comes with friction. Resistance to being better and doing better is a mental and physical battle. So, I am a work in progress and taking it one step at a time. Truly I am learning how to breathe and live again; with that said I just keep on keeping on so that I won’t cease to matter. This is not a blog that is meant to express how prideful we are but to signify how needed in God’s Kingdom we are and to this end, we do matter. (Additional resource to review how we should impact God’s Kingdom here on Earth).
As we continue to make a ripple and impact in this life; be aware that what you do matters. It can be as simple as a smile or a kind word, but that can alter the course of your life and those around you. People are hurting and going through dire situations. There are some folks fighting literally to live and exist freely (such as those being impacted by wars). There are some folks having to hide their truth because speaking out means death. There are some folks who do not know who they are due to being beat-down by others (physically, mentally, and spiritually). So, if you ever wonder does your life matter – it does! Also, just as a reminder, you were born to thrive and have an abundant life. So, don’t let your current circumstance dictate your final life’s outcome. You can pivot into a place of newness, hope, and beauty. I pray you find the courage to change and the hope to have better. You deserve it!
Also, just to let you know, GOD LOVES YOU just the way you are and HE desires you to come to HIM just the way you are so that you can have life and that life more abundantly without shame, hindrance, or belittlement. He has made a way for liberation to be yours 24-7. How you may ask?

Jesus:6 I am the path, the truth, and the energy of life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 If you know Me, you know the Father. Rest assured now; you know Him and have seen Him.
I think being unshackled to live a better to the best life ever is the main objective for me. It has come with the revelation that life is always changing and I must change or “go with the flow” as well. Change is inevitable and should be welcomed. Sometimes to pursue purpose means to take a dare or risk on an unknown. Often that unknown creates an opportunity to be released into a greater realm of the living. A new journey and a new perspective. By refocusing on health and wellness, mental enhancement, and spiritual fortitude – I want to reach something different in my life where I can see freedom exuding from every pour of my existence. Freedom to flourish is my aim.
I think about how the first step of my personal freedom was an acceptance that with Christ as my redeemer I can do all things and be all things and overcome all things as He did.
He who the Son sets free is free indeed!
John 8:34-38 The Message Version
34-38 Jesus said, “I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life and is, in fact, a slave. A slave can’t come and go at will. The Son, though, has an established position, the run of the house. So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through. I know you are Abraham’s descendants. But I also know that you are trying to kill me because my message hasn’t yet penetrated your thick skulls. I’m talking about things I have seen while keeping company with the Father, and you just go on doing what you have heard from your father.”

You will answer one way or the other for the choice you make here on earth – as we all will. I think humanity is at a code blue status and is about to flatline into a death crisis if we do not pivot so, we need to have a recussitation stat or we will cease to exists!
Isn’t it time for you, me, all of us to live our best lives! Let’s shift it into gear for next-level living where we are actually obtaining the “hoped for good” in our lives. Time for us to achieve the bucket list of goals we once thought were so far off and removed from our grasps. We can and will do this one step at a time, one dream realized at a time, one conversation at a time can spark the fire needed to fuel our promise fulfillment! Amen INDEED!

I love the visual of throwing a boulder into the pond as opposed of a grain of salt. But also what ruins salt are impurities. I also struggle with maintaining relationships, and I live a very cluttered disorganized life, and those are things that God has put on my heart to improve on, getting the energy to make such life changes is not easy.
So I pray for both of us that God makes our transitions into our next level, simple and exciting, with minimal anxiety.
