Title: Renewing Your Energy: Finding Strength Through Faith

Hello, friends! Miriam Smith Stevens here

Hello, friends! Miriam Smith Stevens here. If you’ve ever felt drained and low on energy, I completely understand. There were times when getting out of bed seemed like the hardest task, and I struggled to find motivation.

Then, I came across a beautiful promise in Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

This verse became a beacon of hope for me. I realized that my energy wasn’t something I could generate on my own but something that God could provide. I began to pray for renewal and trust in His promise. Slowly but surely, I noticed a change. My energy levels improved, and I felt more equipped to handle my daily responsibilities.

By applying the C.P.R. + N.O.W. approach, I transitioned from feeling lethargic and drained to experiencing renewed vitality. Crisis led me to pivot toward seeking God’s strength, which resulted in a rebirth of energy and purpose.

If you’re struggling with low energy, I encourage you to place your hope in the Lord. Ask Him for the strength to face each day, and watch as He renews your spirit.

Also, if you’ve ever felt drained and low on energy, I do completely understand. There were times when getting out of bed seemed like the hardest task, and I struggled to find motivation. Below shines a light to the C.P.R. + N.O.W. process that I had to acknowledge to adddress my lack of enthusiasm and energy:

Crisis: I was struggling with extreme fatigue and a lack of motivation.

Pivot: I turned to God’s promises for renewal and strength.

Rebirth: By relying on Isaiah 40:31, I experienced a renewal of energy and vitality, as God’s strength uplifted me.

Isaiah 40:31 says: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Why I Sometimes Feel Low on Energy and Lethargic

  1. Not Enough Sleep: When I don’t get enough rest, my body and mind don’t recharge properly, leaving me tired and sluggish.
  2. Poor Diet: Eating junk food or not getting the right nutrients makes me feel drained. My body needs healthy food to keep my energy up.
  3. Too Much Stress: Being overwhelmed with worries or problems wears me out. Stress really saps my energy and leaves me exhausted.
  4. Lack of Exercise: If I’m not moving around much, I start to feel lethargic. Exercise is crucial for boosting my energy levels.
  5. Emotional Strain: Feeling down, disconnected, or unfulfilled also makes me feel tired and low.

How I Use C.P.R. + N.O.W. to Overcome These Challenges

C.P.R. — Connect, Prioritize, Recharge

  1. Connect:
    • What I Do: I make an effort to spend quality time with friends and family or engage in activities that I enjoy.
    • How It Helps: Being around people who care or doing things I love lifts my mood and gives me the energy boost I need.
  2. Prioritize:
    • What I Do: I focus on the most important tasks and try not to overwhelm myself with too many responsibilities.
    • How It Helps: By concentrating on a few key things, I reduce my stress and avoid feeling overloaded, which helps me stay energized.
  3. Recharge:
    • What I Do: I set aside time to relax and do activities that rejuvenate me, like going for a walk or reading a book.
    • How It Helps: Taking time to unwind and do what I enjoy helps restore my energy and makes me feel more alive.

N.O.W. — Nourish, Observe, Wonder

  1. Nourish:
    • What I Do: I focus on eating healthy foods, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep.
    • How It Helps: Proper nourishment keeps my body and mind in good shape, boosting my energy levels and helping me feel less tired.
  2. Observe:
    • What I Do: I pay attention to when and why I feel low on energy, noting patterns or triggers that affect me.
    • How It Helps: Understanding what makes me feel drained allows me to make adjustments and manage those triggers more effectively.
  3. Wonder:
    • What I Do: I explore new activities and keep a sense of curiosity about life.
    • How It Helps: Trying new things and staying curious makes life more engaging and can help me break out of a rut, giving me a fresh burst of energy.

My Simple Plan

  1. Connect with loved ones and engage in enjoyable activities.
  2. Prioritize my tasks to prevent feeling overwhelmed.
  3. Recharge by dedicating time to relax and pursue hobbies.
  4. Nourish my body with nutritious food, water, and sufficient rest.
  5. Observe my energy levels and adjust my habits as needed.
  6. Wonder about new experiences and keep life interesting.

So, using the C.P.R. + N.O.W. method helps me take practical steps to overcome feelings of lethargy and boost my energy in a way that’s easy to apply in my everyday life.

Through the C.P.R. + N.O.W. approach, I transitioned from feeling lethargic (Crisis) to seeking God’s strength (Pivot), resulting in a renewed sense of vitality and energy (New-Beginning). If you’re struggling with low energy, place your hope in the Lord and watch as He renews your spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father:

In this moment of weariness and low energy, I turn my heart towards You, seeking Your boundless strength and renewal. Your Word in Isaiah 40:31 promises that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” I trust in this promise, Lord, and ask for Your divine energy to uplift my spirit and renew my weary body.

Grant me the resilience to rise above my fatigue and the grace to soar on wings like eagles, empowered by Your endless love and support. As Your Word assures in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Help me to embrace Your strength and find peace in Your presence, knowing that with You, I can overcome any challenge.

Let Your promise in Philippians 4:13 guide me: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” May Your energy flow through me, revitalizing my mind, body, and soul. As Psalm 29:11 reminds us, “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”

Thank You for being my source of renewal and for walking with me through every trial. May Your strength sustain me as declared in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

In Jesus’ name, I pray,

Amen.

Offer for Salvation ✝️

If you feel lost, hopeless, or overwhelmed, know that Jesus Christ offers salvation and freedom. The Bible says in John 8:36 (MSG), “So if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” Jesus loves you and wants to give you a new beginning. If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please pray this prayer:

Salvation Prayer:

“Dear Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of your grace. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life. I ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Help me to live a life that honors you. Thank you for your love, mercy, and forgiveness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Congratulations on making this life-changing decision! Here are some next steps to help you grow in your new faith:

  • Read the Bible: Start with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus.
  • Pray Regularly: Talk to God daily, sharing your heart and seeking His guidance.
  • Join a Church: Find a local church community where you can grow and connect with other believers.
  • Share Your Faith: Tell others about your decision and how Jesus has changed your life.

Next Steps After Accepting Jesus: 📖

  1. Read the Bible: Begin by reading the Scriptures to understand more about God’s promises and guidance. Start with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) to learn about Jesus’ life and teachings.
    • John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
    • 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
  2. Pray Regularly: Develop a habit of talking to God through prayer. Share your thoughts, needs, and gratitude with Him. Prayer is a way to build a strong relationship with God.
    • Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
  3. Join a Community: Connect with other believers through a local church or Christian fellowship group. Being part of a community provides support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow in your faith.
    • Hebrews 10:24-25: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
  4. Share Your Faith: Let others know about the decision you’ve made. Sharing your journey can inspire and encourage others on their path to faith.
    • Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

John 10:10 The Message Version
6-10 Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep rustlers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

Prayer for Provision and Trust 📖🙏🙌

Heavenly Father,

In this moment of uncertainty and need, I come before You with a heart full of trust and dependence. Your Word assures me that You are my Provider, my Protector, and my Guide. I declare Your promises over my life:

Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.”

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Romans 8:28: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Nehemiah 8:10: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Philippians 3:13-14: “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Lord, I surrender my worries, fears, and uncertainties to You. You are my way-maker, and I trust that You will create a way where there seems to be no way. Help me to lean on Your promises, to walk in faith, and to experience Your provision in every area of my life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
