Myrrishm Message Twenty Eight Visceral

Please review a previous message that is relative to this weeks past actions for many folks have been victimized – including myself – yet out of that horrific encounter, I know a victory testimony has occurred. So please read/digest/absorb the message https://thethankfulrevolution.com/2018/03/19/survivor-and-thriver/ From Victim to Survivor to Victor.

My dear friend Minister Felicia Lynell Fortune just shared a message from the book of Ruth, “How God can turn your brokenness into a blessing.” This brought to mind how I truly enjoy identifying with the message of Ruth. And really when dissecting my name – Miriam – it boils down to mean BitterSweet.

You can find out more about the BitterSweet message of Essence of Myrrh Proverbs 3:5-7 here at this link: https://issuu.com/miriammiriamsmithstevensstevens/docs/a_bittersweet_myrrhism_word_newslet

Today, a word has piqued my interest and it is Visceral. Definition from online is below:

Visceral | Definition of Visceral by Merriam-Websterwww.merriam-webster.com › dictionary › visceral

1 : felt in or as if in the internal organs of the body : deep a visceral conviction. 2 : not intellectual : instinctive, unreasoning visceral drives. 3 : dealing with crude or elemental emotions : earthy a visceral novel. 4 : of, relating to, or located on or among the viscera : splanchnic visceral organs.

So, this word has bubbled up a multitude of emotions for myself and others this past week and yes it is a Visceral influx of emotions from disbelief to surreal frustration!

When the world watched the murder of an unarmed African American Man – George Floyd – on Memorial Day by four Police Officers in Minnesota, that is the reaction that occurred in myself and I offer amongst others who viewed this senseless crime.

Below is a YouTube Video that shows the incident. PLEASE NOTE: The content contains some graphic scenes that may not be suitable for young audience to witness.

After watching this, I had to pause to collect my thoughts.

I am continuing to write some of my thoughts on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. I was discussing with my son how people are saying in this year “Hindsight is 20/20.” It is interesting how 20/20 is indicative of perfect vision. How compelling is it that N.O.W. – New Beginnings is Our Witness in this season of 20/20 a worldwide epidemic is running rampant parallel with an uproar due to the aggravation that people of color are experiencing just to live free.

Truly our worldwide vision has become unclouded. Is this the moment in our human race that people’s vision is becoming corrected. Are people getting corrected lenses so that their eyesight can truly become clear to not be nearsighted or farsighted for that matter?

When I googled that common saying of “Hindsight is 20/20” below is what I uncovered:

Proverb. hindsight is 20/20. (idiomatic) In hindsight things are obvious that were not obvious from the outset; one is able to evaluate past choices more clearly than at the time of the choice.

For people of color we have always had a clear vision of how it is to live as a black/brown/ or hue that is not white in this world. The indifference that has always been displayed in our economic, housing, jobs, etc. opportunities have often been stifled or even barred. And this is not something that was a “past history” this is a present situation.

So, yes the emotions that are being displayed in the streets of these United States is truly one of an outcry that justice is mandatory for every human being.

Let it be clear that The Thankful Revolution is not promoting violence against ANYONE! Honoring everyone is the prime objective – law enforcement or civilian. Whether a person of color or not does not lesson the importance of a human’s experience and it should not distinguish the quality of life for that individual.

It must be the purposeful action to embrace all lives in a humane manner and specifically forgive like our Father has provided as a rule of thumb even in the face of peril, anguish, injustice, and disparity. We must choose to love and forgive while we lift our voices to express that justice for all humans has to be the common ground and rule of thumb to legally and spiritually live.

Since we all have our eye adjustments implemented, what now? Well, there has to be a continued focus to walk in love for all mankind like God loves us. We have to all strive to love each other like we love ourselves. We are neighbors whether living on the same block or not we live on this same planet and divisions due to the color of a person’s skin is unacceptable. This has to stop!

focus on God
Let us now walk in a perfected vision of reality no longer choosing to be blinded by bias and denials. There is a real problem when it is allowed without charge a law enforcement officer to choke someone without empathy to death. This is appalling.
what do you focus on

The visceral effect of the image that law enforcement officers would deny the chance for a person to live when there were concern citizens who were pleading for mercy and watching the breath snuffed out of George Floyd’s body is chilling. This was not a Hollywood movie, this is the reality that people of color exist everyday.

JAMES QUEALLYMOLLY HENNESSY-FISKE expressed in a LA Times article the following how even Police Chiefs and other Law Enforcement personnel feel about the actions of the officers that contributed to George Floyd’s death, “In years past, police brass might have asked for the public’s patience during similar controversies or offered a refrain about the footage not telling the entire story. But law enforcement experts and criminal justice activists believe the visceral depiction of Floyd’s death — a black man beneath the knee of a white officer — and years of demonstrations following officer-involved killings made it palatable to call out blatant misconduct.” Source: https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2020-05-28/george-floyd-police-chiefs-criminal-justice-reform

Put your head under the knee of this police officer with your family watching your very life evaporating in front of them…it is painful, it is horrific, and it is embedded in our mind’s vision permanently.

Truly, living the same way we have always done things is not an option any longer. There has to be an uprising to change for better. We have to run towards living humanely as humans.

A start has to occur within the choice we make in our souls as to what kind of person are we going to continue to live in this world. All of us have a chance to do self-examinations.

After we all reflect on our individual actions, then collectively we must all move forward in being different. Different in legislation that is not slanted towards people of color unfairly. Different in career opportunities for all mankind without discrimination. Different in housing choices that provides prime options where new beginnings for an individual and / or family happens in thriving, lush, and optimal conditions. There has to be a difference and those who have the authority to enact this difference has been challenged to do so not later but NOW.

I probably will express more, but for now I will rest. Selah and Shalom from Miriam aka Essence of Myrrh Proverbs 3:5-7

P.S. Remember keep your eyesight clear from becoming clouded again. Stay vigilant about the Focus on the Current Outcry that being equality for all mankind means actively and vigorously pursuing righteousness, humanness, and justice for every person regardless of the complexion of your skin.

I would also be remiss if the offer to know pure love was not provided in the pages of this text. Love to you all!

P. P. S. If you desire to truly embrace an eternal cause where you are liberated from sin, and not destined to remain eternally in Hell, then why not read further – even if you are a skeptic and just curious about what it means to accept eternal life.  I offer the following.  Again, thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to become energized to actively pursue your borned given cause. Remember, Jesus started us all in knowing what it really means to sacrifice a life for the cause of freeing others.  Just like when you take the oath to serve at any costs, so why don’t  you take your head commander’s orders this day and truly take up the fight for life and that life more abundantly for you and everyone else – that’s what true love, pure sacrifice, and everlasting freedom represents.

The Thankful Revolution rejoices with you and looks forward to continuing to encourage, edify, educate, and inspire as we traverse along our life’s pathway and choices.  Enjoy the journey!
