Message from Miriam Smith Stevens:

Hello, dear friends! 🌟 I’m Miriam Smith Stevens, and I want to share a message that’s close to my heart. If you’ve ever felt lost or uncertain about your purpose, I want you to know that you are not alone. There was a time when I too felt directionless and unsure of my path. I grappled with feelings of frustration and doubt until I turned to God’s Word for guidance.

One verse that truly spoke to me during this season was Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This promise reassured me that even though I was struggling, God had a plan for my life—one filled with hope and a bright future. 🌈📖

In my journey, I adopted the C.P.R. + N.O.W. approach, which helped me navigate from a place of feeling unfulfilled to discovering my purpose and embracing a new direction. Let me break down this process for you, as it may very well help you in your own journey:

C.P.R. + N.O.W. Method and Process

  1. Crisis – Recognize the Moment of Despair 💔
    • Scripture: Psalm 34:17-18: “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
    • Greek/Hebrew Definitions:
      • Crisis (Greek: κρίσις, krisis): A decisive point or turning point, often involving a time of trial or decision.
    • Key Point: A crisis can be a powerful catalyst for change and growth. It is the moment when we realize we need to seek God’s direction more earnestly.
    • Reflective Question: Have you recently experienced a crisis or a challenging moment that made you question your purpose? 🤔
    • Answer: Reflect on how this crisis may be a sign prompting you to seek God’s guidance more deeply. Often, these moments are opportunities for growth and redirection.
    • Practical Application: Use this time to journal your thoughts and emotions. Consider seeking counsel from a trusted mentor or spiritual advisor to gain perspective and clarity. 📝
  2. Pivot – Seek God’s Guidance 🙏
    • Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
    • Greek/Hebrew Definitions:
      • Pivot (Latin: pīvōtus): To turn or rotate, especially around a central point.
    • Key Point: Turning to God in prayer and seeking His guidance during a crisis helps realign our focus with His plan.
    • Reflective Question: Are you currently seeking God’s direction for your life, or are you relying solely on your own understanding? 🌟
    • Answer: Make an effort to engage in daily prayer and Bible study. Ask God to reveal His will and guide your decisions.
    • Practical Application: Create a prayer schedule or find a Bible study group. Use devotionals and spiritual resources to deepen your understanding of God’s plan for your life. 📖✨
  3. Rebirth – Embrace New Beginnings 🌱
    • Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
    • Greek/Hebrew Definitions:
      • Rebirth (Greek: γεννάω, gennáo): To be born again or to experience a new birth.
    • Key Point: Embracing new beginnings involves letting go of the past and accepting the fresh opportunities God provides.
    • Reflective Question: What old habits or mindsets might you need to release to fully embrace your new purpose? 🌟
    • Answer: Identify areas of your life that need transformation. Prayerfully consider what steps you need to take to embrace the new beginning God has in store.
    • Practical Application: Set specific goals for personal growth and renewal. Seek support from your faith community to help you stay accountable and encouraged. 🌸
  4. N.O.W. – New Opportunities and Walk 🚶‍♀️🌟
    • New Opportunities – Recognize and seize the new paths God places before you.
      • Scripture: Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
    • Walk – Live out your purpose with confidence and faith.
      • Scripture: Galatians 5:16: “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
    • Key Point: Walking in your new purpose requires faith and trust that God is guiding your steps and providing new opportunities for growth.
    • Reflective Question: How can you identify and take advantage of new opportunities that align with your purpose? 🚀
    • Answer: Stay attentive to God’s leading and be proactive in pursuing opportunities that align with your gifts and passions.
    • Practical Application: Create a plan for pursuing new opportunities, such as further education, career changes, or volunteer work. Use your spiritual gifts to contribute to your community and fulfill your purpose. 📈

Additional Key Points:

  1. Faith Over Fear – Embrace God’s promises over your fears 💪✨
    • Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
    • Key Point: Overcoming fear is essential for stepping into your purpose with confidence.
    • Reflective Question: What fears are holding you back from pursuing your purpose? 😨
    • Answer: Identify and confront your fears with prayer and scripture. Trust that God has equipped you with power and a sound mind.
    • Practical Application: Practice affirmations and meditation on scriptures that counteract your fears. Seek encouragement from others who have overcome similar challenges. 🌈
  2. Purposeful Living – Align your daily actions with your purpose 🎯
    • Scripture: Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
    • Key Point: Aligning your actions with your purpose ensures that you are living intentionally and fulfilling God’s plan.
    • Reflective Question: Are your daily actions and decisions aligned with your purpose and values? 🌟
    • Answer: Evaluate how your daily routines and responsibilities reflect your commitment to your purpose.
    • Practical Application: Set goals that reflect your purpose and regularly review your progress. Adjust your actions as needed to stay aligned with your calling. 🗓️
  3. Community Support – Surround yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals 🤝
    • Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.”
    • Key Point: Having a supportive community helps you stay encouraged and accountable in your journey.
    • Reflective Question: Who are the people in your life who support and encourage you in your pursuit of purpose? 💬
    • Answer: Build relationships with those who uplift and inspire you. Seek mentors and peers who share your values and goals.
    • Practical Application: Join faith-based groups or networks that align with your interests and goals. Engage in regular fellowship and support each other’s growth. 🌟
  4. Consistency in Faith – Maintain a consistent spiritual practice to stay aligned with God’s plan 📖🕊️
    • Scripture: James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
    • Key Point: Consistent prayer and study strengthen your relationship with God and provide ongoing guidance.
    • Reflective Question: How consistent is your spiritual practice, and how does it support your pursuit of purpose? 🌿
    • Answer: Evaluate your commitment to regular prayer, Bible study, and spiritual growth. Make adjustments to deepen your practice.
    • Practical Application: Establish a daily routine that includes prayer and scripture reading. Use devotional materials and seek out resources that help you grow spiritually. 🕯️

Recap Summary:

Embracing our purpose often involves navigating through a crisis, seeking God’s guidance, and experiencing a rebirth into new beginnings. The C.P.R. + N.O.W. method illustrates how each stage of this journey—Crisis, Pivot, Rebirth, and New Opportunities—plays a crucial role in discovering and walking in God’s purpose for our lives. How Today’s Generation Can Embrace This Message

In today’s social media-driven world, where comparisons and pressures are high, staying grounded in your true identity is crucial. Here’s how you can embrace this message and navigate the complexities of modern life while staying true to your purpose:

  1. Be Real: Share Your Genuine Self Online 🌟📸
    • In a world full of curated images and filtered perfection, authenticity stands out. Let your true self shine through your online presence. Share your genuine experiences, thoughts, and feelings, rather than projecting an idealized version of yourself.
    • Practical Application: Post content that reflects your real-life experiences and values. Avoid over-editing your photos or only sharing highlights. Your authenticity will resonate more deeply with others and help you build meaningful connections. 🤳✨
  2. Limit Comparisons: Don’t Let Others’ Highlight Reels Dictate Your Worth 🧠🚫
    • Scripture: Hebrews 12:2: “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
    • Key Point: Avoid measuring your worth by comparing yourself to others. Instead, keep your focus on Jesus, who is the ultimate source of your identity and purpose. 🙏👀
    • Practical Application: When you find yourself comparing your life to others, remind yourself of your unique journey and the plans God has for you. Practice gratitude for your own blessings and progress. 🌈❤️
  3. Cultivate Real Connections: Surround Yourself with Supportive and Uplifting People 🤗💬
    • Building a network of friends and mentors who uplift and support you can make a significant difference in your life. Seek relationships that encourage your growth and affirm your true self. 🌟👫
    • Practical Application: Engage in communities and groups that share your values and interests. Surround yourself with individuals who inspire and motivate you. Avoid relationships that drain or negatively influence your self-worth. 🌱🌺
  4. Practice Self-Kindness: Embrace Your Imperfections with Grace 💖🌸
    • Scripture: Romans 15:7: “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”
    • Key Point: Treat yourself with the same kindness and acceptance that Christ shows us. Acknowledge that everyone has struggles and imperfections, and offer yourself grace in your journey. 🤗🌟
    • Practical Application: Develop a habit of self-compassion. When you make mistakes or face challenges, speak to yourself with encouragement and understanding. Celebrate your progress and remember that you are worthy of love and acceptance. 💪🧡

Prayer for Provision and Trust 📖🙏🙌

Heavenly Father,

In this moment of uncertainty and need, I come before You with a heart full of trust and dependence. Your Word assures me that You are my Provider, my Protector, and my Guide. I declare Your promises over my life:

Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.”

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Romans 8:28: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Nehemiah 8:10: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Philippians 3:13-14: “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Lord, I surrender my worries, fears, and uncertainties to You. You are my way-maker, and I trust that You will create a way where there seems to be no way. Help me to lean on Your promises, to walk in faith, and to experience Your provision in every area of my life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Together, let’s move from trauma to triumph and live out the fullness of God’s promises. Reach out today to start your path to healing and transformation.

Offer for Salvation ✝️

One more important thing, the main help that pulled me through was my belief in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I am not saying you have to accept Jesus to get healed, I am saying for me this has been the anchor that kept me sane and secure that with God all things are possible. So, I offer you the same lifeline, I would say if you have never tried Jesus and you are still stuck in a rut, why not? Just coming by today to read this message was what I believe God’s leading through the internal Holy Spirit resident and prayers from many including myself that hope catches afire for all that need a new beginning and better life here on earth as it is reflected in heaven. Peace be unto you.

Accepting Jesus as Your Personal Lord and Savior ✝️

If you’re feeling a tug in your heart and a longing for a deeper connection, I invite you to consider accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. This is a profound step toward a renewed life filled with hope, purpose, and the assurance of God’s unwavering love.

Are you ready to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? It is the most important decision you will ever make. Here’s a simple prayer to guide you:

A Prayer to Accept Jesus:

“Dear Lord Jesus,

I come to You with a humble heart, acknowledging that I am in need of Your grace and forgiveness. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose again, conquering death. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Savior. Forgive me for my sins and help me to follow You with my whole heart. Lead me in Your ways and fill me with Your peace and love.

Thank You for Your incredible sacrifice and for the gift of eternal life. I trust in You and commit my life to You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Congratulations on making this life-changing decision! Here are some next steps to help you grow in your new faith:

  • Read the Bible: Start with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus.
  • Pray Regularly: Talk to God daily, sharing your heart and seeking His guidance.
  • Join a Church: Find a local church community where you can grow and connect with other believers.
  • Share Your Faith: Tell others about your decision and how Jesus has changed your life.

Next Steps After Accepting Jesus: 📖

  1. Read the Bible: Begin by reading the Scriptures to understand more about God’s promises and guidance. Start with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) to learn about Jesus’ life and teachings.
    • John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
    • 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
  2. Pray Regularly: Develop a habit of talking to God through prayer. Share your thoughts, needs, and gratitude with Him. Prayer is a way to build a strong relationship with God.
    • Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
  3. Join a Community: Connect with other believers through a local church or Christian fellowship group. Being part of a community provides support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow in your faith.
    • Hebrews 10:24-25: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
  4. Share Your Faith: Let others know about the decision you’ve made. Sharing your journey can inspire and encourage others on their path to faith.
    • Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

John 10:10 The Message Version
6-10 Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep rustlers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
