Romans 3:31 MSG Translation, “But by shifting our focus from what we do to what God does, don’t we cancel out all our careful keeping of the rules and ways God commanded? Not at all. What happens, in fact, is that by putting that entire way of life in its proper place, we confirm it.”
First things first, we must agree that in this life’s journey there is a daily change happening. What we started out being is not our ultimate ending. With that in mind, embracing our personal “Shifts” in life is key. We can’t become so rigid as to thinking that growth occurs only one time. Progression is constant. Transition is inevitable. Releasing, Reaffirming, and Recognizing is a must in this journey called life.
The Thankful Revolution has not posted in a few months. Why? Transitions are happening. Unknown and exciting new beginnings is our own personal witness.
Therefore, I am excited to uplift the Shift in my own personal life. When the relinquishing of control occurs and the total trusting in God is solidified, then the shift into the next level victory is realized. This is my expectation, this is my transition testimony, and this is my N.O.W. moment (New-Beginnings is Our Witness).
I am still in the midst of the shift and taking the steps one at a time. It’s a daily walk that leads into the beautiful master’s piece. I am full of His joy and strengthened by His promise that “All things work together for the good of them who love the Lord to them who are called according to His purposes”.
So, continue to stay focused on God’s promise that never changes for us even when our atmosphere is different and our environment may be full of chaos. God is the stability for our shift and the shelter in our transitions.
Hence, I remain a work in progress. I pray you all continue to stay tuned and commit to rejoice in all situations regardless. We are The Thankful Revolution!
P.S. As you allow God to drive your life, make sure to buckle up for safety (smile) and remain distraction free to avoid accidents, potholes, and reckless drivers. Secondly, but most importantly, you must allow God full reign over your life and that’s a simple act of yielding to Him. Ask Him to be the Lord of your life, the Driver of your journey, and the redeemer of every hideous action you ever did. It’s okay because we all have been there and done that and God through Jesus our savior can forgive us into freedom to enjoy life and that life more abundantly. Love you all! Peace (Shalom) ~ Miriam aka Essence of Myrrh
The Thankful Revolution rejoices with you and looks forward to continuing to encourage, edify, educate, and inspire as we traverse along our life’s pathway and choices. Enjoy the journey!

Yes, “shift” does happen, whether we want it to or not. Yet it is necessary to shift so one can get out of the rut that can oftentimes detain a person. It’s the only way to take you from one level to another. I liken it to a manual car: if the gear is not shifted, the car will not move to the next gear, thus keeping us in a lag. So, accepting the shift will allow movement Into a optimum condition.
